Had a wee run north today to pick up my subframe for the CQ.....it wasn't without some small setbacks.......hazard lights not working, realised this just after setting off when I went to give a courteous chap a wee "hazard flash thank-you"......then got to my destination and went to start engine, got a faint click, tried again and starter operated as normal........then indicators packed in....fuse(no.2 15amp) was blown so replaced it but nowt happening.........can hear a relay under dash buzzing/humming until hazard switch is depressed, then noise stops.
I'm thinking I need a new flasher relay to sort the light problem?.......and I'll take a look at the wiring at the starter solenoid, clean the connections and see how it goes but maybe ign switch on it's way out??
........anyway met Mike(former RS2 owner, Range Rover today) at Forfar and we then met other Mike(Ruby S2 but today in the Nogy S6 avant......looking resplendent in a coat of road grime but would look so much better with a dog in the boot!!....maybe a clever dog might secure the front number plate too ) at the south end of the Tay Bridge.
Then with dogless Mike leading(!) the way we cut down through Fife where we met Craig(S6) and Richard(S3) at North Queensferry.
Pub grub was had at The Albert Hotel which served those skinny long McDonald's chips with the fish.......
We were joined by Iain and his 2.8 CQ, fair play to him as he'd only got home at about 7am after his last night shift.
......it was freezing in the place, the locals in the bar were likely too warmed by their Whisky to notice?!.......I was glad to get back outside for a heat
Anyway......took some photos.
