Spelling Alert

The past tense of the verb to buy is bought not brought.

More and more people seem to be saying I "brought" this and I "brought" that..

Bring ..... brought.

Buy ...... bought.

Basically, if you paid money for something you don't need the "r"

Had noticed brought/bought issue more and more this past 12 months. Another that gets on my goat is loose and lose (although this confusion seems to be restricted to written rather than spoken media).

Love it! A lot of "your" when it should read "you're" - I suspect many quite deliberate errors!
