Here you go Steve, I thought it was this.
It bolts to the head, the short leg holds the bottom of the exhaust manifold heat shield and the long leg steadies the turbo water pipe. (pretty sure there should be a clamp on there holding the water pipe..)

If it is the same as a 7A, isn't there a piece like that that stops the PAS belt flapping, and holds the cover?

I tried deciphering it oo, but not quite, google it? There are a few sites that show these parts alongside the exploded parts diagram from the likes of oempc.
