Well...... available to buy...... not really.....

If you have to do a proper comparison then any Delta Integrale has to be matched with a "quattro"

Could be an WR or a RR engine/version fo the "quattro" and a Delta 8 valves 16 valves or an Evolution one then it's ok.

To make a comparison on price and availability with an Audi S1 or Sportquattro then you have to match with this..... the Delta S4 group B:

There are now two for sale in Italy both street version no ex works cars......

    Fantastic piece of steel:
    Middle engine
Volumex Compressor an Turbo working together and the Triflux called head

    Still they're not cheap...

They look mean, have only seen two in town. catgroom had one before it got nicked in leeds. They do have a aggressive stance.

i was thinking of an evo 2, took 1 out and it was good to drive but not that fast. alot of people will hate me for saying this, but the same sort of money will buy you a mitsubishi evo 5, i had 1 before i got my s2, it was faster and more fun to drive than both delta integrale and audi.

Allways liked the look of them, and theres no doubting there achievments, but never really thought about owning one.

Think even now id take an S2 over one, mainly for this forum being the only handbook im ever likely to need for ownership

              .

Well,I wasnt going to post on this topic but I am!

Ive been Lancisti for about 20 years. My first car was a Lancia and followed by many many Italian cars since.

When it got to about 1996,I came off a ...ahem ....ban and wanted to make my return to the road extra-worthwhile! I visited a family friend and long time Morgan Lancia dealer Richard Thorne near Reading.I bought a car which had some provenance from him and the old Mike Spence Motorsport/Hormann days.It was merely an 8v Thema Turbo but was a real gem even with then 99000 on the clock.Yes,I spent about 3.5k getting her up to scratch,as I always do.

A very rare Crystal Green 16v Thema Turbo came up from then Surrey Lancia Dealer David Lees.Like with all his cars,it was overpriced but one shocker and it was perfect.I hadnt gone for an integrale at this stage as I was covering mega miles and wanted the comfort.

BUT,in 1999 I put a whole stack of cash into a 1992 Verde York integrale.I had driven many of these cars previously for Richard and owned by friends.Like Id found with all Italian cars before, they went exactly where you pointed them. The rasp of that 2.0 Twin Cam always lights my fire and always will.Coupled with the savage Turbo pull it was a match made in heaven!

I think, you need to be able to forgive Lancia of their poor build quality in order to fully enjoy them.If you love Lancia enough,it is usually as it is in your blood and forgiving them for this flimsiness is soon something you come to live with and accept.I found that by having owned one,it made me more meticulous on cars owned afterwards. This was because you needed to go around these with a fine toothed comb in order to keep on top of them. The rewards,in my humble opinion, will always be worth it.Sadly,2 weeks after collecting my Verde York and just having assigned her the plate J777 EVO,she was stolen from an NCP Car Park outside Back2Basics night club in Leeds (silly me!!).

She was recovered, but I went straight to Porsche 944 ownership from there and didnt look back. Now I own an Audi Coupe.Call it divine intervention or German evolution in my string of owned cars!Who cares? The grale will always rock for me!
