      Hi Carlos

I used to race 1/8th scale many years ago. but the 1/5th scale where to expensive to run. If you want to see these run in anger then there is a club in halifax who have there own track. http://www.halifaxtrack.co.uk/

Also when i used to race 1/8th scale i used to know a chap call Ian Oddie back in the day and now believe he is the the world champ at racing 1/5th scale - he's pretty good at tuning engines and inventing stuff http://www.oddified.com/results.php

Also if you want to buy one of these models speak to bob stiles or any of his sons at http://www.rossendalemodels.co.uk what they don't know about this stuff aint worth knowing.

I used to race 1/10 electric and 1/8 gas cars when I was young. I miss it was a great laugh. It all died once I learned to drive at 17

He's now extremely succesfull racing all kinds of scales. Wish i hadn't given this up i could never seem to break out of B / C finals at national levels. So i quit and went chasing girls at 18.

I never raced national, never had the money.

I was quite highly thought of in the midlands as I was a 2wd specialist and would happily enter the mix classes and finish quite high.

Looking back I can't believe I was up so early on sundays to race, like 4-5am! damn i'd in my tomb now days by then

I remember that name from magazine articles....

I raced a few times at school, won a couple of tropheys with an old Tamiya Boomerang, with the wheels bolted the wrong way round for extra width, and even once driving in reverse for the course

Tried once at Aldershot's track with a HPi kit, was an eye opener to how its really done, never went back after that, didnt have the funds at the time.

Keep thinking id like to do it again, or have a bash at nitro cars, planes or helicopters, again though its finance, seeing as im not that far away from an S2...... lol
