After a long day i have installed the complete leather interior in my ABY, I managed to manufacture some brackets which bolted to the slide piece to overcome the handle problem. After installing i tested the lever and it works perfectly, so i didint have to weld any brackets in the end. Thanks to everybody who made suggestions. all the best steve.
