I would appeal against that as the PATAS guidelines say they should observe the vehicle for 5 minutes before issuing a ticket

Sadly its all down to revenue not common sense ( or good signage ). I was told yesterday that our local traffic wardens are now equipped with scooters to ambush the unwary and that the free first hour ( as long as youve pressed for a ticket ) is to be abolished.

Local businesses will suffer but the councils dont seem to be interested......

Managed to get my quattro lifted and impounded today !

Ive now got her back but I'm still seething and it took a awful lot of deep breaths and calmness to stop me from reaching over the desk and throttling the council guy at the pound ! :corey:

Picture this Ive just left the barbers having got myself a nice trim for my imminent trip to Germany skippity do dah (even in the rain), I turn a corner and WTF !!

Turns out I was parked in a parking zone 9-4:30 no return in a hour or two and not double yellow any other time. My ticket says spotted at 16:55 to 16:56 the tow truck says it was lifted at 16:59 :corey:

I'm now £140 lighter
