It was all part of Audi's promotion campaign. There were no S class cars, but I tried new A6 2.0 TDI, A3 2.0 TDI with automatic gearbox and Audi TT 3.2.
The action happened on a twisty carting track and I got to drive 15 laps of those three cars. First was A6, very heavy beast and 2.0 TDI does not seem to be right for that chassis. Handbrake was engaged on button though, I found that amusing. Next came A3 with automatic gearbox. It was my first time trying automatic so it was more interesting. The gearbox was very smooth, and the gear changes were righ on spot if somewhat slow (I am a quick shifter
. I would say it is ideal car for city driving. Small and nimble with Audi technology. Gearbox had a neat sequential mode too, which was more fun to drive with.
And finally new TT with 260 HP, with adjustable suspension and zillion of other features. Unfortunately it did not feel as quick as my S2. The real fun happened when I was driven as a passanger by a pro-driver. Then I realized how much real driving skills matter and how little of them I have atm
All in all very nice event by Audi we've got various gifts as well free carting. But, at the end of the day I still like my S2 better haha
