thats a very good price.... although it could also be a very good way to get into a big repair bill scenario....Leave a comment:

I have been offered an 83 UR with a 20v conversion (Kim Collins) by a friend. The car is Alpine white with later headlights and analogue dash. Apparently it has uprated suspension and brakes(to be confirmed) and 3" S/S exhaust. It needs new brake and fuel lines, the black leather needs feeding and poss refurb and there is some surface rust. I hope to get down a view the car in the next few weeks as I have first refusal on it, I want to see it up close and see how good or bad it is. The clocks read mega miles but has it as a new engine I am not too concerned. The questions I have are 1 should I buy it and break it 2 buy it put it back on the road and try to make a little on the side or 3 buy it and use it? I have been offered it for £3250 is this a good price or the start of a bottonless money pit?
If you break it you will be dead
and go for it

Sounds very cheap for a converted car. You could spend that much to buy the engine and drivetrain alone never mind the cost of the conversion etc..Leave a comment:

Check the bodywork, like the boot floor etc. Prone to rust from the inside out. My brother had this and now spent around 14k getting it mint, although he has also had the brakes, 20v conversion etcLeave a comment:
