i was supposed to have my gearbox recon'd but the muppets fitted a 7a box instead.the gearing is obviously wrong(thoretical top speed is greatly reduced)and i can't imagine it lasting too long
.one up side is that it has reduced my 0-60 by about half a second.
they say "we're doing something about,i don't know what yet".i already told him that it's no good and it wants swapping.also that if i was told before they fitted it i would have stopped the job.he said that bits were hard to get hold of for the arv.i said "you still got it haven't you?"he didn't sound too sure,but said "it'll take some finding".so it might be at the bottom of a heap.either way i'd already contacted the garage that fitted it(they sent it away to be done)within the 28 days.trading standards say that it should be put right.how hard is it to get-say a selector and third gear?i run the box they've still got out of oil.
