true enough though, threads do seem to go wildly off topic at the moment, think im guilty of it as much as the next person!

@s2-bo I completely agree, The quaIity of postings has taken a real nose dive of late which is really sad in light of our recent award. If we are not careful I think the forum may in danger of losing some of its credibility.

Some of the content of late in my opinion just should not be here, some of the inane comments really make me cringe.

I think there are a handful of individuals on here that seem to post for the sake of posting. Its the kind of thing that is okay for MSN or the like but not a forum.

There are still a lot of great threads and posts on here but can we keep a cap on the tosh please?

Lets keep it fun but think before you post is all I am saying.

Its not as simple as that when threads that are not open topic get hijaked with exchanges of small talk and go wildly off topic for example.

Well done Bo. Something had to be said. I too enjoy a bit of banter and general pisstaking, as many of us here are good friends on and off the forum, but lately it's been getting beyond the joke.

I'm not saying don't post anything that may be considered open topic. If you think there is something that the general s2forum community will be interested in, then go ahead and post it. If you want to chat to your mate(s), then get some kind of instant messenger.

As Nuvo said some people here seem to be posting just for the sake of posting.

Any specific threads you're thinking about Bo? Would be good to ave some general examples. I know of a couple but not loads?

I'm having to trawl through up to 400 posts a day!
(I'm sure over half of them have nothing to do with cars)

I agree, there are plenty of posts that don't need to have been put up. I wouldn't normally comment as I don't see the point in repeating what a few others have already said, but I agree with what s2_bo is saying and would like to show my support.
