Just had the air con compressor die. 150,000km and minimal chain rattle at startup. Was thinking of pulling the engine and doing the guides/tensioners/adjusters etc but just don't have the time. Obviously the front end has to come off so I was going to change the compressor/drier/orifice and also install the JHM alternator self tensioning kit, Jhm oil cooler kit and Canton racing Accusump to eliminate the rattle. Anyone installed any of these? Good to hear the results. Will also upgrade the snub with 034 bush/mount.
