Insane Spec RS2, Project 'Mental Wheels' For Sale.

As he is sadly no longer with us I'm helping Charlies family with the sale of his RS2 project which I currently only have limited access to so photo's will have to wait. Besides the bonkers spec of this car is for serious buyers only, not people simply interested in looking at picture's of shinny thing's.

I'm going to type up a comprehensive list of all the work done to this car and get current photo's very soon but in the mean time I'm going to have just give a quick summery of what's on offer here.

550+ BHP RS2, roughly 140K miles, totally rebuilt with absolutely no expense spared and I really do mean NO expense. This is a unique example and the standard of work is faultless, it barely got driven once completed so still looks like a brand new car underneath, on top and inside.

MOT'd until next spring and ready to go, serviced every year by Will at VRS.

I'm struggling to put a price on the car as I know modifications don't always increase the value but as I've got to start somewhere £70K, bare in mind a lot of the work done would be part of any top end restoration. However, any serious offer will be considered.

Viewing can be arranged as can a test drive as long as you're fully insured! I will require written, verifiable, evidence of this.

Due to probate reasons this car is now going to auctioned off at Carfeast at the end of this month, as soon as I get a catalog for the sale I'll post up a pic of the cars listing. I can't say what the reserve is but you have if moderate to deep pockets and want what I regard as the best highly modified RS2 in the UK then register to bid before the sale!

Yes mate, that's the one, as soon as it's cataloged I'll post up a link as well as photo's of their listing.

They're putting a fair bit work into selling the car including trying to get a well known 'CarTuber' to do a fresh video on the car, he did one years ago with Will driving...

This is Will's own Video which I've only just found, he goes through the spec in great detail and the car can be seen on a lift...

I've just watched the live auction and it made £45k. With fees will be over £50625 and £250 admin fee to collect!
They incorrectly stated that the original seats were included in the sale. If i was the buyer, i would be pretty unhappy to find they were referring to the rear bench seat!
The parts made £7,800 plus fees.

Yeah, they should have made it clear that it was only the rear bench and uncut carpet included as extras... The parts did way better than my max bid which wasn't a piss take.

Fair results I think, the spares did especially well which is an indicator of how difficult some of this stuff is to find.

Can arguably say the car was cheap when reflecting on all the work and money spent on it. On the other hand, although extremely well done a highly modified car is a bit niche, and with RS2 being such a rare beast standard ones probably moe sought after.

The car fetched pretty much exactly what I expected at auction, as you say very niche worth more stock. Someone got an amazing deal though if they wanted an RS2 running that much power reliably, I wonder if they'll ever pop up on here.
