          Nice, lots of work there.

Anytime I see b3 with b4 lights I think of this car

            Nail,

Perhaps your "wheel not centered in front fender opening" issue is a result of incorrect ball-joints? IIRC the front/rear offset of 3-bolt joints (distance between the pin; and the 3 holes) is different between B3 20V; and B4. Or perhaps it's A-arm reversal, do you have a front anti-roll bar installed? I'll try to post a photo later.

Yes, lots of very nice work there sir, lovely car.

I prefer B3 monoblocks and that "old" look , you know. And it's kinda strange setup. Not so often seen even on the internet.

                Thanks

The situation is that I have installed B4 arms and B4 ball joints with 3-bolt mount. Numbers i've got from B4 like 1993-94 years. So I can't say for sure, which year and which model (I mean Coupe 10v/20v b3 or B4 or S2 or something special) I need, but the problem of positioning really exists in my case. Decided to try to swap left and right ball joints and look at my suspension cinematics. If that wont not help - will make custom arms with correct offset so that the wheel could be in correct position.

Yes, I have front anti-roll bar. It mounts on subframe and strut case via long arm with ball joints on it ends.
                Sorry for my "english"

These are my arms set btw:
                  12.9 tough bolts.

Arms. Top - fronts B4. Bottom - rear B3 Quattro ones (front B3 with rear B3 ball joints in fact).

With mounted ball joints and welded sides.

                  And one more pic.

                    Nail,

                    a) Hard to see in the photo (borrowed from someone on motorgeek, thanks BTW), note how pin center is more off-set from top LH hole center between these two joints. Determine which you have; and if the other would be helpful; and/oR

                    b) Sounds as though you are perhaps using the B4 A/R bar, correct? If yes, it may be your arms are installed inadvertently reversed, something that is less likely when using the B3 type A/R bar. If yes, then a different wheel position may result.

                    c) Hopefully, just a switch-around of your two current ball-joints will be enough.

                    d) You should see my Russian!
