Okey, so this weekend i converted the car from fwd - quattro. Was easyer then i thinked. All tank mounts were under the body protaction and needed to clean only. Same with rear axle mounting places. But thats like that only b4-s what are done before june 93.

Thanks! Only difference should be that v6 has both gearbox mounts on subframe and has little strenghted. But shape should be same.

Did send message about g4 wiring.

I have been watching your videos on YouTube, well done on those!

I was thinking of this the other day and maybe I had to cut mine because is an I5 subframe and your car was a V6? Maybe...

WHat are you planning for management? I have a MK4 golf loom that has been modified to plug into the Audi fuse box to use the stock ECU if you would be interested....

    Keep the videos coming

    Jase.

This is what was removed... It was strengthened when it was welded back up.

If i remember correctly, it is a touareg oil pan that was modified to make it shallower (and add an oil return for the turbo). It is the "hump" part closest to the transmission that hits the subframe.

I dont have any newer photos of how the engine sits now. Maybe you will have more success with a pheaton oil pan?. . . not sure how different they are? maybe using a steel 12v oil pan and cutting/welding it could be a better option?

I can not see how there is enough room for the stock intake. The "front" of the cam cover is very close and as said the VR6 coils with the loom connector would be above the height of the hood.

You use phaeton or touareg oil sump?
And how low engine now is ?
I know one who did put 2.8 24v in whitout subframe modification and stock manifold.
    And had no clearence issue.
