I impulse bought a hardtop for my cabriolet and have realised the difficulty and expense in managing it without a garage is just too much for me with other plans and projects.
It's in good condition, complete with original accessories and mounts, but has been resprayed in an unknown light / newer VW Blue from a previous whole body respray by the person I bought it from to match a Cab that was written off. It's a good paint job, OE grade or slightly better, but not show grade. It's lighter than Santorini Blue.
--> It will need respraying to match the next car it goes with, unless someone with a blue cab wanted to do the two-tone thing.. ;-)
--> It will also need a new headliner.
I paid four figures for it, but am open to reasonable / find-a-good-home / friendly forum offers as I'm sadly in a loss-cutting mood on this one...
It will need collecting from a storage unit in Reading (easy vehicle access). I am happy to help a competent person mount it to a Cab to take away, alternatively it will need collecting in a vehicle that has a soft and solid base with plenty of protection.
It comes with a dolly, but it's a pretty basic tube metal aftermarket affair...nothing special.
