I have decided to break my poor old 200 Turbo,as shes now past life and is a never ending money pit.
The most recent expenditure being the engine work carried out to the usual top standard by Ben Williamson,AV Performance,in Burton-upon-Trent.
The Metering Head has failed but this obv doesnt mean to say the engine isnt still in its freshly rebuilt and superb condition.
Shes on 114k,you can still see the cross-hatching in the bores,photos to show the rebuild are available from Ben,which I can sort if anyones interested in seeing them.
Shes only done just over 800 miles since the rebuild.
OK,so she is a-: 1984 early KG 2144cc engine from my 200 Turbo,with a WR Camshaft and the WR K26 Turbocharger,running the rare early,thicker IC.
New Head Gasket,head skimmed.
Manifold stud holes helicoiled to avoid future issues there!
Manifold stitch-welded by Lockwood Engineering,who are one of the only people who still perform this "art".No blows,cracks,and the obv 5 new gaskets.
Valve seats re-cut
New valve stem oil seals
Water Pump
Cambelt
Flushed/Serviced Engine and Cooling System using Forte
Engine in the car,so will need to be removed,not doing this myself due to health condition.
Located near Peterborough/Stamford/Spalding. 9 miles from the A1.
