            Did you get any figures from the mapping or did it die pretty early on?

            I cant help thinking forged pistons would be best in your engine!

              s2 pistons are forged .he has some other problem

                  nascar guys use these in there brake ducts. They're cheap too. They might help out with your coolant issues.

                    • I'm actually working on figuring out brake ducts for my v8 coupe quattro project, and figured I'd also mention because I'm going through your project I noticed that you just have holes cut out into the front of the radiator for the duct to attach to it. Instead of just regular holes you might want to consider something like in this picture, or even possibly using the naca ducts like on the outside of your car on the shroud of the radiator. I somewhat think part of your cooling problem is that air is only flowing in a limited section of the radiator based on how the ducting is attached.

                          Engine has been up and running for nearly three weeks now

                          i'm running 24 psi at the moment and this is working ok but i have a few spark and fuel issues that need sorting out.

                          I'll try get some vids of it because it sounds ****ing mental

                            • Short video

                              i`ve been out and about tuning the car for a few hours today and i'm pleased with the results.

                              Currently running 1.5-1.6 bar and it goes like a rocket ship and the grip the quattro drive train delivers is neck snapping

                              Made a short video by myself and luckily the van did'nt run over my phone and i managed to capture some good sound



                              Better vids to come when i get the boost above 2bar but i'm concentrating on dialling in the afr's at lower boost. After all i dont want another cooked engine

                              And i didnt come up with any diagnosis for the engine that went pop, i think we just over cooked it on the rollers.
