Collecting parts for my winter projects with the car. First of all i got hold of a used S2 instrument cluster with plasma dials. I just wanted the housing and onboard computer/autocheck. My autocheck in the car shows no life at all and my onboard computer is the same as this one i bought (bleeding display) Hopefully the autocheck in this cluster is working, the dipslay for the onboard computer is being refurbished with parts from "partworks" according to my investigations it is the V1 repair kit i need.
Next up is an order from Audi tradition, extra brake cooling ducts and door card fabric in Kobalt blue for my door card rebuild.
Also got some small items for the interior turning the wood covered panels in to satin black ones. In my car i have wood trims, this includes beside the door trims/airbag trim, ashtray, clima control and cover around the three indicators (volt, oil pressure and oil temperature). So thoose i bought on ebay to match with my hopefully soon carboon interior.
Instrument cluster dissasemble to see what repairkit for the onboard computer i need:

Trim around the clima control and a pair of extra cooling ducts for the front brakes:

Ashtray and extra instrument cluster trim:

Next up is to dissasemble the doors on my car to take the wooden trims off and get ready for exhange with an other Audi nerd upstreem in Sweden to get his carbonfibre trims. Instead and he is going to have my wooden trims with an amount of money between. Can't wait to get it done

Oil and filter change was made yesterday, now it will be stored for the winter with just minor fixes i think. No unpleasant suprises this time either (in the oil). Just the oil pan screws were all loose But thats an easy fix, strange but maybe the gaskets have set now after about 5000km of driving. They were torqued 10Nm as the factory says, will keep an eye on them.
I got the tumbs out and fitted the air ducts for the front brakes that i have had in storage before i got the car.. Found the special nuts at a German turbo site.
If i dont mentioned it earlier, my door card on the drivers door is coming loose. So thats one of my winter projects, fit new blue alcantara on the doors instead of leather.
Hopefully i will also manage to get hold of carbon trims for the doors, airbag in carbon is already on the shelf
Yeah, also got myself a set of 4 new winter rims for the RS2, just had to buy them although they are ugly..
Pics or it didn't happen:

Last weeks "Audi Rescue Team" meet at a big car meeting. We managed to gather 4 x RS2 and 1 x S2 -96.
Nice day with burgers and chatting. Nice to get to learn more Audi-nerds

Your car looks amazing, really shiny and healty! Yeah, i have some foam coming out the vents, so i will have a bit of work later on. Good point with the motors, i will check that when i do the other stuff. Cats seem to like boxes of all shapes I know, my othe half thinks i spend to much on an old "****** car".. Haha.
Autewo is a real life saver that I'm buying from since about 20 years. So his tape around a heavy box is a sign for the wife that something is coming on the car . But that's part of the hobby. Next up here are the door trims, as from one of them the leather is loose, and the awful crumbled foam is coming out...
Your pictures are very beautiful. Very nice light on them too. It's been a long time since I have seen multiple RS2's standing together.

Some days ago the car had to get in for the yearly (well 14 months) inspection. To get through i changed back to my old exhaust that has a catalyst. When i ordered my Supersprint i was a little cheap, so i ordered the Racepack without cat. I do regret it a little bit now as it is a little bit of pain to change everytime. But i think next time a will weld a cat to my Supersprint so it's legal all the time. Monday 8/8 the car passed MOT without any faults.
While changing exhaust i took the opportunity to change the N75-solenoid valve for boost control to a new unit. Also changed the terminals on the MAF connector to member "Error404" (Ultra Performance Engineering) gold plated terminals. I had some problems with the connections, the car ran good for a long time and then suddenly not so good, (bad idle, rich running) after the change it's all good. Sure the old terminals was of nice quality, so i think these will last the rest of the cars life. Other than that not very much happen. Today i changed back to Supersprint exhaust.
Also a few days ago i had a visitor from Norway, he also has an RS2. He was going for work in Denmark, so when he passed me in Malmö we took the opportunity to take some photos and talk about the cars. Very nice guy and a talanted photograf.
Not to often two Audi RS2, RS-Blue is parked next to another. Both without roof rails also.
Here is some photos of our cars together outside Audi in Malmö. Photos by Stephan Tschudi Madsen.

I've owned mine for 12 years now (a glossy black one from 1994), and recognize a lot of the challenges you ran into. Regarding the aircon issues: it might be the flaps (then you would also see a lot of small black pieces on the carpet that blew out of the exhausts) however it might also be the motors that power the flaps. These only require a good clean (as the debris from the electrical contacts to the rotors short circuits the motor) and they operate happily again. VCDS can read these faults too btw. You can reach all but one without removing the dash.
The picture of your cat inspecting packages from Autewo is so recognizable! Our cat does that too. Too bad these packages rarely get in unnoticed due to their size or weight...
Enjoy the car! Here's a picture from ours currently performing its holiday duty:

Not much happen to the car. It behaves good, so i´m just enjoying it in the Swedish summer. So far it has been 2000km of driving. Been to a lot of car meetings, places to see or just out for a drive. One funny thing is all the positive reactions the car gets. Pepople giving thumbs up when driving by, wants to talk about RS2 and take photos. Sure thats a good feeling, and i'm more than happy to talk about it and show people. Here is some pics from our jurneys this summer. (Today it was hot weather and the owner took a swim in the ocean, thats not every day..)
Bath time for the owner:

Anyone have some ideas why it hesitates (feels like missfire) after a gearchange? This is only a "problem" when i'm doing flat out pulls.
I will do a boost leak test to start with. Thinking about putting a hose at the IC just to safe up for the O-ring that i understand lots of people have trouble getting to seal properly. Otherwise the car behaves good. It has now been driven 3300km since i got it running after the engine rebuild.
Here is a video from todays driving in "Mexico"

Weekend drive with the girlfriend and grandmother. My grandfather (not in this world any more) worked most of his life at a Audi/VW dealer here in Sweden. He is the main reason i like Audi's, as my parents bought a 100 Avant C3 2.3E from his work.
I also convinced the girlfriend to buy a camera... God moment to try it out today
