Maybe a long shot but i had some problems similar to yours.



It turned out to be the screws that holds the dizzy assembly was loose.



At certain rpm's it did some weird stuff.



This is assuming your still using the dizzy for hall pickup.

There shouldn't be that much end float, when I put the metal drive gear on mine I shimmed it to factory spec, and it was much tighter than that.

Yeah, it looks wrong to me, it must be about 2 or 3mm end float

And you hear the noise it makes? Actually sounds like knock

I can't find the figure for end float, but I know it's a fraction of a mm as I set mine up with a DTI to measure it

On my car it was the clamp that holds the dizza to the head, that was loose. It gave some weird knock issues/cut outs.

After I thighten it up no more problems.

My problem was with the dizzy not being secured enough to the head. It was the hole assembly that was loose.

But it does look like a lot of play in your video.

Yeah, I think the other one is cracked too but I don't have a spare for the long one

Already changed the back one, I had a new spare, need a new front one now.

I got a half turn on the dizzy bolt too.

seen them readily available on american ebay for around $30 each before

you get results like this
