That would apply to stock as well since the hoses are placed roughly the same.

Anyways I'm not concerned about this.

I think I have found my problem.

Looking at the thread it seems that the bilstein sport damper has the spring perch sitting to high. This would explain why my car does not seem to be lowered.

              Updates:

So I got the car running again after installing my DW300 pump, however the old tank lid was completely broken where the fuel feed line connects:

So got a new tank lid install with banjo bolt+seals (previous owner forgot the seals) and also gave the banjo bolt some brake grease to avoid it corroding again.

I have also planed to install water injection on the car and I have this headlight washer bottle that was used on early 80 avant and coupe when they had headlight washers installed.

However on late S2 Avant they changed the hydraulic bottle so it taller and therefore the headlight washer bottle wont fit.

              New hydraulic:

              Old hydraulic:

So I bought the old style hydraulic bottle from ebay.co.uk and plan is then to install that so the headlight washer bottle will fit.

Then I will have an OEM looking tank and it will sit high so I can mount the AEM feed pump below and then it should be good to go.

How much does that hydraulic bottle hold? I can't imagine it's more than a litre, so it's not going to last long.

I feel like you'll be refilling that small washer fluid reservoir a lot if you're getting into boost often.

One of my friends has a cool set up in the trunk cubby of his single turbo b5s4. He's run a line to the trunk and made a bracket to mount a washer fluid jug. When he runs out (can go through up to two 4L jugs per gas tank if he's beating on it), he just pops the trunk, unscrews the cap that he's tapped with a hose for the pump, and swaps the empty bottle for a new one. Takes about a minute and he's back at it again.

Oh yeah, missed that! Even the headlight washer bottle does not look huge?

Mine is a combi of AEM and aquamist.

I got the 30-3012 kit from AEM and then I'm planning to use the hfs3 controller.

I will try and fill it up later today, but I would imagine 3-4l.

That should be sufficient to my use, plan is just to use it for extra cooling at first at least.

So just filled it up and it will take 4l so that is not to bad to be honest.

                                Suspension and rear brake refurb

So got some time today to do the rear brakes, old ones where complety broken and was not working at all.

So new brembo disc and pads + FTE/trw calipers all from carondo.de

                                Some install pics:

                                Old calipers:

Calipers, pads and disc all ready for bleeding:

Also managed to fix my bilstein shocks. I read in this thread about a height difference of 20mm between the bilstein shock and oem for S4 B5. Funny thing is that the same shocks that bilstein list for the rear for the S2 avant are also listet for the S4 B5.

This is the shot with the rear bilstein 24-062145 B8 for S2 avant:
Before - Height from floor to top of arc = 66cm:

After - Height from floor to top of arc = 64cm:

In the machine making the groove. The depth of the groove is 0,6mm and the width is 1,7mm.

With an extra groove 20mm below:

                                Comparison before and after:
