AAA Saloon Champinonship - S2!

Just watching AAA Saloons on Motors TV (sky 413) and saw a bright orange S2! Driver's name is Angus Gorringe, not seen anything of it on here... nice to see an old Audi hold its own against Evos, Escorts etc. Would be grand to see some details on what must be a 500+bhp race car!

I posted the thread when I saw it had qualified mid-table. I think there are about 15 entrants and it finished 7th.

ive said it before and will do again. subaru and evo will outhandle audi 9/10

still props for being different.

Yup. But still nice to see one being raced over here, the Scandinavians seem to use the quattros a lot but not so much here.

yes i agree. tis always nice to see differerent things. we all know you can get an evo to do well and maybbe lesser so a subaru. props to the audi tryer.

shame its not as successful as the touring car days.

Car was finished the night before the race and it was the first time I had driven it ! producing 350bhp with a dash that didn't work so no idea what revs etc and was on wets and it was very dry so no grip - happy I finished to be honest

Hopefully car will be better set up and with 400bhp at silverstone on saturday should go a bit better

Nice to be different with an s2 rather than evo but not really that competitive, evo's are so much easier to drive with all the electronic stability stuff etc but there you go I like a challenge......
