I can help you testing, but i don't want to send my ecu (i need it and you are far away from Germany )

sounds like it needs more hardware modifcation than swapping the eproms?

    Bye

      Correct.

      Buy 2nd ecu…
Btw if you think that you can modify the tune easily, you are mistaken.
All the high speed diag is stripped and there is lots of protection, so if you change even one byte, it won't work anymore.
And if you can remove this you probably don't need my code

Does the maf less motronic have similar fuel efficiency as the maf present tunes?

Don't worry, i'm not interessted in analyzing or modifying your code. Also I won't search your checksums, swapped address lines or changed resistor deviders

Ecus are even in germany very expensive. From 300 to 500€, you have to pay on ebay.
          So, this has to wait...

          Bye

I don't think there's going to be any difference, as long as the engine is stock and the tune is made for it.
If the engine is modified and the ECU tune not adjusted, then fuel efficiency will drop somewhat.

                Hi PRJ,

Just asking out of curiosity, I have a standard engine...well almost...and my ECU has been socketed and I have a latch board to suit the chips I have, would this fall under the standard price, or the already tuned option...?

I don't have a spare ECU so it would be my live ABY ECU btw...

                Ta

Standard price. I never tuned your ECU.

A canned SD tune isn't going to work.
I've tested on a few cars locally and every one of them has needed adjustment, because each owner had done a little something to their car.

With a MAF it's not a problem, but with a MAP sensor it is.

Will just have to wait for the self-tuning board. That will come with base tunes for stock and other stuff.

Very old post, but are you still tuning Motronic and can do solution like this? Got a 3B car that would love to get rid of the MAF..
