  • Urq Abs Brakes

I am helping a friend to install ABS brakes onto his UrQ. Currently it has the one piece struts installed. If possible, we would like to use the newer two-piece struts and components from a model 89, 1990 7a coupe. He has taken the ABS components from a model 89 coupe quattro (pump, sensors, harness, brackets,...) to use on the UrQ. The front does not appear to be any problem, using the s2 front hubs and outer cv joints onto the coupe hub carriers and UrQ axles. The rear is the tricky part, the s2 rear hub and axle is considerably smaller than the UrQ and he is concerned about how much power can be transmitted thru the smaller coupe components. Currently the car has over 400+hp (20v built engine, largish turbo and IM, Autronic standalone system). We have access to most any US built older Audi parts and would like to avoid buying/shipping expensive and rare UrQ components. Any sugestions regarding the rear hub carrier and outer cv joint conundrum? All help is appreciated
    Thanks, Chris
