  • Rusty brake discs

Living in West Wales has its benefits but also a few down sides. The air is often damp and brake discs rust quicker than nice move into fresh hay!
    Anyone tried this?
I just bought a couple to try.

Is this to cover the disks to stop them rusting? As looking at the website it states don't spray on disks or pads

Found this stuff. https://www.obsessedgarage.com/produ...rust-inhibitor However, I'm not sure on the long term effects of using it on the brake pads etc.

You can also use Bilt Hamber Atom-Mac for this application too.

I can't see the P321 for sale in the UK so will get the Bilt stuff. Cheers Nuvo

So I got some of the Bilt stuff to try. I will let you know how durable it is. I mixed it up with distilled water so it drys off clean.

Last time I bought brake discs I paid extra for the coating so the bell and vents didn't rust, 2 years on they still looked like new, they were from mtec.

They'd get surface rust/dust on the face after a wash or standing, but would soon dissapear after using the brakes.

Not too impressed. I used it after washing the car and putting it back in the garage. Discs were showing signs of surface rust after two weeks. They were dried off before going back in the garage.

That's a bit disappointing, not what you we've come to expect from BH.
