Just after collecting my RS2, it came apparent that just before coming to a stop, my ABS would rumble as if I was braking on ice. The last second of braking, My car was 'slipping' and I could feel it through my pedal, and so could my passengers (mark was crapping himself) were getting slightly anxious.
I work for Mercedes, and one of the lads mentioned that the ABS sensor may have some grime on it, so I had the car hoised up, and as if by magic, one of the ABS sensors had a rubber seal not correctly fitted, so i just pulled the ABS plug out from the caliper (wearing my suit!) sprayed some brake cleaner in the hole, wiped the end of the sensor and pushed the sensor back in!
The brakes are spot on now (Thanks Maz)
Hope this helps anyone who has the same problem, Its so easy, I bet that would have been expensive at VAG!
