I just found a German Ferodo supplier with reasonable prices for my Porsche GT3 mk1 calipers:
FRP3050H = 148,00 EUR inkl. MwSt.
FRP3050R = 154,00 EUR inkl. MwSt.
FRP3050E = 177,00 EUR inkl. MwSt. (Endurance)
FRP3050W = 187,00 EUR inkl. MwSt. (DS1.11)

i though EBC's whole mantra was that they didn't really dust up as a kevlar based pad.....?Leave a comment:

I've taken the plunge and ordered some RS-19's. Been told by a few trackday enthusiasts that they are worth every penny. Will have to see what they're like.
Agree about EBC Green Stuff, that stuff is ****e. The Red Stuff isn't too bad though considering the price. They haven't lasted long at all but of all the pad's i've tried they showed the least amount of fade.
EDIT forgot to mention the EBC stuff does create a lot of dust. Not tried the Yellow Stuff.Last edited by stiglet; 17 April 2009, 06:19.Leave a comment:

Another option for you to consider:
Under the applications list on their website, there are disc and pad options for S2 and RS2, as well as 90CQ and others. Audiman (Tom) did mine on the S2 Avant last year, as the original brakes were all fecked. Wanted to keep it cheap but improve on OEM at the front, but also fitted new OEM discs and pads on the rear at the same time.
We went for the 6 grooved discs and XE fast road pads to keep OEM disc diameters and calipers at the front. Although you have to work the pedal quite hard for rapid stopping, there is noticably much more bite and very little dusting at all. Some squeal when coming to a halt under light braking the only issue. Really pleased for the price.
. Front pads should be around £60+vat

I have never tried the Textars, but I have the Ferodos and they don't dust that bad. The Redstuff/Greenstuff combo that the former owner installed dusted just as much, maybe more. Brake wise, the Ferodos are fantastic, while the EBC pads were the worst junk that I have tried on any car. Friends that tested the car with the EBC pads were scared by the lack of braking power. I am amazed that these things are road legal.
With the Ferodos, it is the other way around, MOT testers and the like are amazed by the braking power.Leave a comment:

as for the OP, i was impressed with the Pagid FR's, mintex 1144's were expensive and had little feel and ate discs, the pads just never died they were so hard and have a copper mix IIRC. DS2500 dont exist for the girling (even though the catalogue suggests different, BTDT) and the pagids further up the range (black, blue etc) as mentioned above a very expensive. Biggest limiting factor to be honest is the stock disc dimensions, just totally undersized to perform.Leave a comment:

textars dust masses more than the ds2500's, though they dust up pretty well too, though the bite and performance of the 2500 is a league different (read better) than the textars. Don't know much about the yellows but given my experience with the 2500 and that o fothers on the forum with the same setup, i see little reason to change.

Come on guys......I read many people run Ferodo and Yellow Stuff brake pads and not a single person is willing to tell me how much dust they create? Are they as bad as Textar?Leave a comment:

Can anyone give me some feedback on de comparison between Textar (which I have currently), Ferodo DS2500 and Yellow Stuf brake pads in the field of dust creation? I am so fed up with cleaning my rims after every ride. Is it also happening with the other pads? I need them for my Porsche GT3 mk1 brake calipers.
The Ferodo number that I currently looking at is FRP3050H but costs double the amount of the TextarsLast edited by Bram; 14 April 2009, 08:33.Leave a comment:

Ditto that, now using predator pads front and back to replace Green stuff versions and far superior though wheels now need cleaning more often!Leave a comment:
