  • Nurburgring + standard discs = .......

    ..... Cracks. Lots of them.

I reckon they'll be fine for Combe

I think they got a little hot.

I have seen that from road driving... That's standard brakes for you!

I'm confused... I'm sure you didn't use the brakes in that video I watched

I'd get some new pads too, they're finished.

I was gonna have some nice sparkly new EBC Red Stuff pads for Combe but I'll kill these discs off and get my moneys worth before fitting new discs. No point in wasting a set of pads really.

Annoying really as those discs have plenty left in them and they didn't seem to be fading at all

Get some grooved discs, they'll help a lot. They also eat pads like the Cookie Monster eats biscuits!

Didn't check but i expect they are also fried. Have bought some new ones but don't want to use new pads on ******ed discs.

I did think about that but i'm not sure if it'll make much difference, better to have more surface area? I always thought they were for old pads which used to gas off? Newer ceramic pads don't do that as far as i'm aware.

id expect there were no brakes after the first couple of presses anyway.

my corrado G60 had bigger brakes standard and they worked better too. fit the 6 pots they are great.

if you're going to the Nurburgring again, don't bother with grooved discs. It's a complete waste of time.

Did about 100 laps with my S2 and went through several sets of brakes. it was only when I fitted Porsche calipers with 304mm discs that I was able to have confidence for the complete lap
