Hmmh... I measured the output voltage as adviced at s2central pages. I got the following values:
1.3V at engine off - should be ok as Paul gives limits 1.2-1.5
2.3 at idle - should be 2.5-2.6
>3V when revved (slow DMM so not sure about the max)
Should I be concerned about the idle voltage? The plug covering the adjustment screw is off. Dunno if some previous owner has adjusted it.. What should I do now?
I didn't test the burn off other than that 12V is supplied after engine is turned off.
Measuring resistance over pins 1 and 2, then shorting them and measuring again gave 0.1 ohm difference but really the DMM is a cheapo POS so could be just a tolerance issue. What was I measuring? What's pin 2 for?
Engine was warm, ambient temp around 10 deg C.
