  • Elecric windows stopped working

All four of my electric windows have stopped working on my s2 coupe.the electric mirrors still work and the sunroof. I have noticed that for a few weeks that the windows wouldn't work when you first start the car, but would work after a minute or two,now they have packed up all together.Aircon not working ether so I could do with some advise,

If its the same as the sunroof, it should click when you try and close an already closed sunroof?

        Might help you locate it.

Just had the same problem in two RS2s in our Club...(one is mine)
Problem resides on the relay (wich is not a proper relay) N° 363 (if i remember well)
that controls the eletric windows it's longer then the others so very easy to locate.
Location (LHD) unerneath the tray on the driving side.
Take it out bang it gently on an hard surface then plenty of contacts spray and...
          Voilà job done!

Had a look at the relays under the dash, and I could not see one with the number 363 on it,my car is a 3b coupe, which may have a different relay. Can anyone confirm the location and relay number on aright hand drive 3b.If it relavent the electric mirrors have also now failed, but the sun roof still works

iirc its the biggest one under there, you can't miss it because its so big. Try the one out of alex's old 20v in it as it should be the same.

Its twice the size of the other relays, kind of a double one.

I took out the relay and cleaned the connections, ect, as suggested but it hasn't cured the problem .so I am going to try another one.

Just cleaning the contacts didn't work on mine either - so I resoldered a couple of knackered (dry) looking joints and that solved the problems.
