The relays for my heated seats are ruining the concert of sounds from the engine bay - they drive me nuts to the extent that I don't use it because they're so loud regulating the temperature 
. Do relays have dampers in them that would wear after nearly two decades of use, so new ones would be far quieter? I don't know whether they're noisy even new. Could I use an alternative from a later car? Particularly as I've bought S3 Recaros to go in my Coupe (hopefully they can be fitted with enough headroom for me), so could I possibly use the S3 relays?
