ELM327 is only usable on OBD II cars, you will need VCDS for the 2.2T and that means a KKL interface or Ross tech official tool.

W/M is only active on high load, if you run a lot of it, you will need to tune for it, otherwise for the cooling effect a little can be used, and it will not have much effect on fuel mixture.

LPG on a turbo car is a disaster waiting to happen unless properly mapped, as the ECU's reaction to many things is to further enrich the mixture, which in case of a vapor fuel such as LPG will cause very high EGT's.
I don't think HHO is a waste of time, it really causes a drop on fuel consumption if you nicely realize how the system works and having the proper components, but there are many many opinions about the HHO anyway.

The water injection will only be active beyond 1bar absolute (is my plan) and just to cool the combustion chamber with LPG and/or HHO. LPG is not bad at all if tuned properly, I have a small amount of injection of gasoline after 4k rpm on boost to cool down the mixture. I have a KKL interface on my watchlist waiting for an answer from the seller indeed!! it's link is above in the edited post

Thank you mate, I'll look for it...maybe I could find a hacked full version of the Vag-Com...if I am lucky enough and if is available somewhere on the net

That cable should work if its compatible with vagcom, download link here http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds-lite/download/index.html

I dont know what you mean by "rewrite new data on the O2 and MAF sensors", you cannot change any code or map information inside the ECU, only way is to physically remove the two chips and use an eprom programmer.
I understand now, well I already have the VCDS-Lite from ross-tech downloaded so I'll see what can it do for me too. As far for the cable, I'll buy a simple vag-com 409.1 and then make the adapter.

About I said to rewrite the parameters, if isn't possible, then I need to realize some way to cheat both sensors (I have some plans to run RON98/LPG + HHO + water-methanol inj and I have to lean pretty much the AFR)....I will need an efie unfortunately...

After all I will need to buy an ELM327 interface to read other cars when installing the same system on them and clear any code during the adjustment of the AFR's.

    Greetings mates!

Edit & P.S.: I found this one, looks that it'll work Ebay link ... comments? I wanna be sure before buying it

I could find this interface of vag com, it is supposed to work with the S2 (I didin't know the S2 was OBD2 16pin) and also the 80/100/200 (with 2x2 K&L): LINKY. It has even a reprogramming feature with REVO Limmiwinks tuning software....anyway, this last feature is not too importanto for me now, I'd need to read and erase fault codes, and rewrite new data on the O2 and MAF sensors if possible. Do you think this could help me?

Cant help with generic cables as i have only ever used genuine vagcom cables. There was a few threads with suggestions for generic cables that work using the free version of vagcom, you should be able to find them with a little searching. So as long as you can use vagcom with the cable you should be fine.

Our age of cars use the K and L lines for communication, a generic cable that will work with vagcom should be able to read/reset codes, show sensor information and a few other things like ABS, HVAC controllers etc. Older cars ~1990 have less functionality, for example i have never been able to talk to any 10v motors.

A basic vagcom cable (K&L) and software works fine reading codes from any OBD2 vehicle. The cable even works with the software for Magneti Marelli systems used in Fiats, Alfas etc so its a very useful bit of kit to have.

    ELM327 Scan tool for VAG 2x2 OBD1 ??

Hi all! I have some serious duobts before buying a scanning tool wich I need urgently to use on my 96' S6 C4 2.2T that uses the old OBD connectors (2x2 located inside the fuse box under the bonnet).

I have in mind to buy a USB ELM327 (example on ebay: elm327 link)interface with a adapter (OBD2 16pin <--> VAG 2x2) which is pretty economical and being USB, the transfering data is pretty fast with no "lag" from bluetooth/wifi connections. and I can use it on other OBD2 cars to make some basic scanning and stuff. Does somebody made a test and see if the software on the PC can enter into the ecu? Maybe later use another software and erase/burn another data to make a small tune up.

I see there's the VAG-COM409 KKL interface unit (example on ebay again: Vag 409.1 but particularly this one, does not offer a compatibility with the audi 100/80....but it does with the S2... ) and there are many others like this that reads the 80/100, S2, ect. So I'm getting confused with this one too.

Can somebody help me with this? What should I buy? I'm really confused and I need the tool for this week (it cannot come from China) and it must be under 18euro (shipping included). Thanks in advance mates!
