That's actually a scary amount of shizzle in there, scarier than I thought it would be!

I had a feeling that might have been the case. Still very interesting to see inside one none the less.

Thanks Brian. Those photos are great. Definitely provide incentive to keep the S2/RS2 fuse boxes dry. Yikes. After having an issue with a wiring fault with an S2 and tracing part of the issue to the fusebox I decided to dissect the fusebox for everyone to see...It may or may not be of some use to someone, as you can see in the pictures water had got into this one and shorted out a few of the tracks.

I cut round this with a grinder to get into it.
It looks like when they are manufactured the plastic outer is heated up and melted to the bottom layer cover.
I don't think you would be able to re use it...Leave a comment:

Can it be reassembled again or is this a non-reversable process if you follow me? What I mean to ask is disassembly only possible by unavoidable "destruction" of something in the layers along the way or not?Leave a comment:

Cans and worms spring to mind, this must be why I have a jump wire across one of my connections
Dread to think what state mine is in

The top view

The fusebox is made up of a series of layers
This is the first layer removed

On to the second layer

And then the 3rd layer
