Yes. I tried to do some fitting today and my bonnet strut isn't working! So can't keep the bonnet up to do any work+ both kids are sick so it will have to wait.

I will fit them for the high beam directly. My HID kit is 55w and I doubt this 35w leds I bought will be any better

    That's doesn't sound very ideal!

I noticed that my HIDs are 55w Siemens. So I'll test one against the led. If I don't like it I'll use the leds for the high beam which I still use halogen.

LEDs are more efficient, and they don't radiate heat, so you can have your headlamp freezing over in winter, despite them being switched on.

They emit virtually all their heat from the base of the junction, hence the placement of the heatsink. And yes, they will get hot, and yes, they really should be in airflow.

I have the 40W 4000lm, so we'll see what they are like. I'll give them to someone for Christmas if they don't fit!

I got the set. 30w 3000 lumens. I also got some fog yellow H3 but I doubt they will fit through the hole

I'll try them and if I don't think they are any better than the current hid I have I'll use them for the high beam

It sure does. My guess would be they don't sell as many as there LMZ kits because of output lumens. I've had mine about a year with zero problems.

I think a quality kit is important. I had a cheap hid kit in the past that was nothing but trouble. The LED bulb technology will most likely develop rapidly over the next few years.

I have a set of Vled's on my MB. http://www.vleds.com/shop-products/lmz/vx3.html
My headlamps are 7" round lenses with rubber boots as caps; they are also hi/low bulbs.

The light output is very nice.

The heat sink on the back is awkward. My installation was very easy with the rubber covers. My set doesn't have a cooling fan. I'm suspicions of a cooling fan mounted to a light bulb.

I can't provide before pictures, but the output is far greater than all the halogen bulbs I've tried. The high low work perfectly. The only issue is when I pull the lever to flash hi beams the can-bus system reports bulb out. If I turn the high beam to the on position there is no warning.

Do you have a link handy, for reference?
