I need to change the thermostat on the S2 as it's currently running at 60-75deg in the cold weather and isn't too happy. When doing this I'm also going to change the coolant as it's a bit old.
Is there a BTDT for either the coolant or thermostat change?
What is the capacity of the coolant system on an ABY coupe?
I am going to use the pink G12 VAG stuff (is this correct?)
Doug also recomended that I change 2 water pipes when doing the thermostat. (The ones under the PAS pump that are hard to get to...) can anyone supply part numbers, should I decide to go geniune so I can check them. I know it's a crap description but that's all I have at the mo!
Finally, I'm looking to remove the aux. rad as it's looking a bit worse for wear. What have people used for bungs in the past?
Are the Samco water pipes available yet and are they a good fit? If yes, how much?
