Hi
When reading group 0 in VAGCOM on my 3B value no 10 is ignition firing point, a value of 35-37 corresponds to 8-12 degrees BTDC. Is it correct to say that ignition will be 2 degrees higher per increase of 1 of this value?
It would be useful to log this when investigating problems with I.E. engine not giving full power, to see if ignition is pulled back.
I have tried to log group 0 while driving (with PC in passenger seat). At idle the value was ok (35-37), but when under load the value went down, it also felt like the engine was hesitating. If I released the throttle gently it would pull harder, on the log the firing point value increased to ~45. I have the log in excel format on my "car" laptop, can post it if any interest.
