I am having a spot of bother with my 3B coupe...
(See other thread for problems) it was suggested that I blink tested it to get the fault codes, and therefore be pointed in the right direction for a fix...
I followed the directions on Pauls bit to the letter (using a small 12V lamp) but cannot get the lamp to blink codes. It stays lit whether the ignition is on or not...
The instructions say "test the LED (or lamp) across the black plug", fine, the lamp lights....
next keep the ignition OFF and move the -ve leg of the lamp to the blinking connector on the blue plug.... ok..... lamp lights up (even though ignition is off , and keys are even removed)
Turn on ignition and the lamp should light up brightly... well, it never was not light, so yes, its alight... bridge out the correct pins with wire for more than 4 seconds, remove the jumper it will then extinguish briefly and it will then blink fault codes...
It doesnt..
I already have a wire in the T5 connector block where you attatch the MIL wire to in Pauls MIL mod...in his instructions it is apparently usually empty...
My car is a 1991 German spec LHD 3B coupe....
Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully received.....!
Thanks
Chris
