I have a ACQ with an Mc-II engine fittet (Audi 100 Turbo 1991), and I am currently removing an old oilcooler-bypass which was installed when I did the convertion. This bypass (orginal pipes + hose and clamps) have failed several times (leaking and hose coming off), so I want this done properly now. Can I plug the intake/outlet above the oil filter, or does this run in serial with the oil filter?
I have run this for 5 years now, and oil has never been over 70c, so I think it's fine to remove it, as I live in Northern Norway. I was meaning to install it later on, but FMIC and original NA bumper (like the look of it) does not give much room for it. I was thinking of installing it behind the grill, but now I just don't see any good reason to do it because of the low temps that I have been getting for all these years.
