Hi all, im hoping to rent a torque plate that goes out to 83mm in the 5 cylinder.
Id happily leave a deposit, and sort collection/delivery inside the uk if anyone's keen!
originally i wasn't planning on using one but taking apart a very high mileage and heavily 'mechaniced' on 7A, there was very obvious dark marks all around the tops of the three middle bores were the head bolts pull up on the deck. The oem bolts were very very tight, way more than spec. But this makes me think the ARPs will do the same.
I took 2 apart 7As at the same time, one i'm pretty sure was unopened from factory had no marks like that at all. Both going out to 83mm anyway (at oem 82.5mm now)
The build plans are try to keep lowish torque but lots of high engine speed HP. There's definitely a lot less meat on the bores out at 83mm compared to 81mm. Im working with what i have though!
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
