oil in air box & poor idle? :(
right, went for a drive to cinema on wed, got home, pulled up and noticed that the idle was unusually low. 
about 500 rpm.
came back to it in the morning, started her up from cold and idle was 300rpm - and wanted to stall without throttle.
i went to the front of the car and saw oil on the floor on the left (facing front)..
after looking under the bonnet i saw the oil was coming out of the little drain hole on bottom of the air box (wondered what that was for
)
checked my oil level, & i'd say i've lost almost half a litre i'd guess
Now this 2.5 GTi engineering engine i have, doesn't have a crank case breather pipe. Is that normal?
my old engine had one, so could this be the source of my problem?
any idea whats happened? and is my engine doomed?
