    whats my maximum RPM ?

just wondering what my max recommended RPM would be on my 2.5 GTi engineering 5 Cylinder?

i know its a 2.5 now, so 'theoretically' the 'safe' MAX RPM should be less. but i'm wondering if its ok to rev much harder? , what with it having forged internals and solid lifters.

@ the moment i'm guessing the limiter on a 'standard' 2.2 is 'suppose' to cut in at under 6400rpm (looking at the rev counter)

yet its Actual cut in seems to be 6000rpm and bounces off it even lower than that.
It catches me out a lot because its not even on the red! .

i used 7300rpm on street and 7800rpm on dragrace with hydraulic lifters. 7800 is not so healty.

i believe its not the 2.5 diesel crank, but instead a custom 94mm made by GTi engineering

and bored to 82mm. (i think)

also runs Ported and Polished Head with 41mm Inlet Valves & 35mm Exhaust Valves. (i think)
        10.5:1 Comp ratio

supposedly Runs 170bhp on the standard CAM, & Standard Exhaust.

        is that any help?
