    That's news to me...

You mean you have 'profile maps' of the cams, inlet and exhaust?

I mean not the simple stuff of lift and opening and closing degree points.

    Care to divulge? Pleeeeease....

    Hi
But I still don“t know what the advantage of putting the 2 cams of audi 7A? And of course if it is possible to mount the 2, because as the RS2 not give, that will give the audi 7A?

The smaller pulley on the water pump causes the obvious....faster rotation of the impeller, which moves more cooling water throughout the system. Kinda cool.

That is another reason the pump on the RS2 engine is SO damn expensive, it will only work with the matching cam and crank pulleys.
Waterpump pulley has nothing to do with the cam timing. The wheel diameter difference will not influence the roll distance that the timing belt makes, because the tooth size remains the same for both water pump models. So crank/cam timing will not be influenced by mixing ABY and ADU parts in that sense! However, the ADU camwheel hall window has a different timing and puts the cam timing also advanced someone else mentioned.

Hate to disagree but having had all the parts in my hand the only difference between the ABY and RS2 cam wheel is the position of the pickup on the disc in the centre of the wheel. Other than that they are identical.

The RS2 pump can be used on an ABY with the RS2 cambelt without using the RS2 cam wheel. People such as Mark Halligan have proved this on their engines.

The reverse is also true, you can stick an RS2 wheel on the ABY and the ECU sees a change in ignition in vag-com.

Jamo just said the inlet has no drive gear for the distributor, so won't be any use in the 3B!

It means then that the cams of RS2 are not good for my car? And if the model of 7A give to install in my audi?

    Thats not correct

The RS2 exhaust cam is higher lift and has different duration. Should add more mid range torque.

The RS2 inlet is the same as the ABY inlet and cannot be used on a 3B car as it does not have the gear on the end to drive the 3B dizzy

    Rs2 Cams!!!

    Hi
I have audi S2 3B model and I recently bought cams of RS2, what do I gain by mounting them in my audi??
Working...
