Since there are diferent opinions I'll try both just for the sake of it. Now i'm getting curious.

From the last link I checked the numbers and it's clear that I have K26 67 if the turbine is always the same only compresor is diferent. And the turbine number is 6.

friend have a original sms turbo and I have mtm turbo.
we do some measurements they are the same in all cases.

now I drive a revo sms program and MTM turbo- works perfect

    my turbo is:
    number: kkk 26 14-70

    cold side 3526-101-5160

    hot side 5328-101-8362 G

    20 471 90 50 this is a number on a blue plate

on revo sms 303hp (original) there is no identification number just revo sms on blue plate and off course KKK sign on hot and cold side
I can't find any info of your mtm turbo mate... do you have the compressor and/or exhaust map available? Do you have an idea which cars used came from factory with it?

K24 and K26 are turbo family designations. They do not by any means identify a turbo.

MTM303 turbo is what some people call a "small hybrid". It's RS2 cold side mated to a 220hp Porsche turbine. A stupid combination if you ask me.

I have never figured out why the factory calls the RS2 turbo a K24 as there is absolutely no parts from K24 series in it. It's all K26.

If anyone has an affordable spare water cooled K26-6411 turbo from a 10V engine, I'm interested in buying it.

when I change the ECU (revo sms) in the car. first I go to thy the car on k24 turbo. It was a big different. have a perfect spool but not enough power in high revs.
    and very linear acceleration .
then I put k26 and it have bigger turbo hole but when they kick it is amazing filling.

    my advice : use k26

BTW, Does somebody know what kind of turbocharger uses the SMS Revo and Revo-S models? I know are K26's too but dunno the codes. Revo's have 303bhp and Revo-S 375bhp. The turbo from the Revo-S version might be a good upgrade I think.

Would you recomend then runing this ECU with K24 or K26? If the K24 boosts sooner and has more flow then it would make sence runing that remap with stock turbo.
Hi lini! Which k26 are you using from the 944? 220bhp or 250bhp??? I red somewhere we could use the turbocharger from the 250bhp version for a turbo upgrade on the 2.2t and avoid the 220 cuz it is like going one step back from the k24-7000. I'm afraid all the 924/944 turbos are only oil cooled unfortunately, so the time between oil changes may be reduced. I have this information about the 944 turbocharges used on the engine 951 (2.5 litres 4cyl), which one do you have???

    KKK Porsche 944 Turbo 1985- ??
    (2.5) 220bhp K26 53269706710 951.123.131.00

    KKK Porsche 944 Turbo 1985- ??
    (2.5) 220bhp K26 53269706720 951.123.131.02

    KKK Porsche 944 Turbo 1989-91
    (2.5) 250bhp K26 53269707041 951.123.131.03

Not good for 400hp I think. The inducer is smaller than RS2 one (47mm).
Hence why there are two fitted to the Porsche engine in question

Dunno I'm late or not, but it is ancient Porsche turbo, reference number 935.123.013.00.

I may be wrong, but it should be capable of at least 400+hp if it is what I think. Main reason - it is basically K27 turbo, has K27 cold side wheel and #10 hot side...

As it is ancient turbo - expect loads of turbolag with it.

You can (ask to) measure compressor intake inside diameter (hole in the turbo through which air is sucked). If it is at least 57mm in diameter - then it is some kind of racing turbo capable of lots hp and lag.

    Sau
