adding to this experience, the power cut-off especially when I wanted to shift to 3rd gear intermittently, and quite rare sometimes it cuts-off when I want to shift to 5th gear. other gear shifting is normal.

Sounds boost leak related. Check all vaccum pipes etc. If you can get a boost check kit (someone used to sell them on here) do it.

could it mean 1 or 2 of the spark plugs gone too?
is the coil pack a wear and tear thingy? what makes the coil pack dead?

    Could it be the Turbo?

Thought I want to share to the forum members my experience with my ABY this afternoon.

While I was driving on the highway cruising on 140Km/h, I wanted to check on the cars BHP so I press the accelerator flat-out then suddenly the engine feels jerky. I then let go the pedal and maintain my cruise back. Trying to figure out what happen, I accelerate again and again (pedal pressed sudden flat-out) the engine jerks trying to increase the speed and feels suffocating.

However, when I slowly accelerate from 140km/h, it runs smoothly to 160km/h+, no engine jerking.
    Cars purely unmod.

Any idea what is the problem.
How do I check my turbo boost since I don't have the boost gauge installed, but will VAGCOM do?

    Cheers.
Working...
