Would appreciate a little definitive advice on how to read the timing mark in the bell housing, to make sure my (limited!) understanding is correct. Got a lot of info but I'm not sure if I've got this right.
After swapping the dizzy I'm in the process of putting everything back together. I was pretty sure that the crankshaft marks are lined up ok - but after checking tonight I'm not sure sure about the bell housing one!
Am I right that the centre of the "O" on the flywheel needs to be against the edge of the bell housing? Sort of a mirror i.e half the mark on the flywheel and half on the housing window- so together the make a single "O" ??
I've got a bad feeling that mine, as below, needs to be much closer together, so its dizzy out and start again You can so the orange O on the flywheel and a fainter silver O on the edge of housing window.
thanks guys!
Paul
