3071R 0.82 A/R on stock head/cams or K26/K27 with #6 hotside.
They both behave very similar but the garrett outflows the K26/K27 up top, plus the housing is bigger too, so there is less backpressure.
Another alternative is the HX35 Super with the 9cm^2 hotside.
That said, only the K26/K27 really matches the "easy fitment" criteria, unless you have a T3 flanged manifold, but then you still have to do the oil/water lines, whereas a K26/K27 just bolts on with a spacer.
How many hp with rs2 setup?

If the original poster wanted a turbo the next little step up from the RS2 turbo, to get say 410bhp everyday of the week, keep the drivability, with lots of early boost / mid range torque, easy fitting, accept a custom map is essential, which turbo should he consider?
What's benefits / performance of an RS2 hybrid over the standard RS2 turbo?
Whose good at making/supplying an RS2 hybrid?
Is an RS2 hybrid an old RS2 turbo reconditioned and improved at the same time?
Thanks.Leave a comment:

Ask whoever is going to tune your car about injectors.
I don't recommend using a generic map though. Especially not on a custom built car - factory RS2 is a different question.
But generally no injectors are really too big, as long as they are linear at low pulsewidths. Even 1000cc are fine.
Siemens Mototrons tend to be nice early on, but later on they tend to develop a really bad spray pattern (it's more like pissing, than spraying really) at low pulsewidths after a while, so you get misfires at idle. The manufacturer does not specify them below 1.5ms, but you need to run 0.8 at 4 bar fuel pressure...
Same issue with various Delphi disc type injectors - run fine on load, but car misfires on idle when hot.Last edited by prj; 21 August 2011, 22:50.Leave a comment:

Having mapped seventy 2.2T cars now, I don't need to hear that something has been done somewhere
RS2 hotside does not flow 400hp without either massively lowered CR or chemical octane boosting/charge air cooling, no amount of your flaming is going to change that. Simple.
I can actually tell you the timing profile off the top of my head that is needed to get 400hp on RS2 turbo. And I can tell you off the top of my head how to make the car run that timing, because I have. Can you?Last edited by prj; 21 August 2011, 22:46.Leave a comment:

Before you do that, find out who is going to map the car or if your going generic chip as if you go generic you will need to match the injectors to the map.
I'd recommend an MRC remap though or a hoffer chipsetLeave a comment:

Okay. I can see that they are some Siemens 660cc injectors for sale, will they be to big for the project?Leave a comment:

Bosch EV14 630cc
or
Siemens Deka 630cc
but i think that it will be better to change your fuel pump to 040Leave a comment:

Okay, which injectors can i use instead of the RS2? Will the rs2 downpipe fit on std S2 exhaust or does the cats sited different?Leave a comment:

Been through this before you are not right it has been done on two cars what you should say is you can't get them to 400Leave a comment:

Only way you will make 400hp on RS2 turbo is by using water injection, e85 or race fuel.
The injectors you have max out at 360hp on pump.
I'd go with a bigger turbo.Leave a comment:

Okay, I thought so
I think it will be great with around 360-380hp but i'm not sure that i will be satisfied and i want more power

Not with the Rs2 turbo you looking 380 max if everything was perfect including head porting, you can get it to near 400 pushing 2 bar plus but the turbo be toast after 6 months.
If you want around 400 bhp your looking at the wrong turbo as the rs2 turbo is more about torque than bhpLeave a comment:

Okay.
I don't know who's doing the remap yet. Maybe i will take my 3" downpipe in stead. What will it take to get around 400hp?Leave a comment:

He wont get 380 bhp not unless it's 1.9bar , with the rs2 downpipe realistically that spec will dyno around 360 bhp
I would also ditch those injectors for EV14's or Deka 630'sLeave a comment:
