1. First of, lets skip all of the "it's-not-worth-it" talks. This is a project based exclusively on sentimental value. 
2. Second, for this vehicle to be legal in my country, there are some rules to follow.
*I need to take the STOCK engine, as a package including gearbox and as much as possible from the exhaust.
*It also needs modifications on both front and rear suspension (does not care for better or worse, just that it needs to be changed somehow)
*The brakes must be from the donor-car "OR EQUAL"...
3. The Coupé in question is a standard FWD 2.3 B3 (89-90 model)
So, thus far I have a very basic list of parts, problems and solutions, and questions. - This is where you guys come in.

Engine - MC1/2 from Audi 100 ("5000" if you live in the states?)
Gearbox - From the same car, as required by law. So it's probebly easiest to find a standard FWD. (manual)
Struts - Since I'm forced to modify anyways, I'm thinking S2 struts in the front, and A4 (b5) hubs in the rear. (5x112)
Joints & Shafts - According to my research, there is only one option that vill fit, the 20v Coupé. They also fit from the S2 Avant, but then I think the driveshafts are to short. (~30mm smaller trackwidth)
Brakes - S2 in the front, and either A4 (b5) or A100t in the back. Maybe a 20V master cylinder.

Problems I know about;
The battery box needs to be removed - I'll just put it in the boot.
The downpipe will hit the tie rod - I think I'm just gonna weld it thicker and then grind out the needed clearance.

Please, if you see something that I might have overlooked or something that you know is going to become a problem - write it down.
And if you have information about the joints/driveshafts that could help, I'm intrigued to hear about it since 20v Coupé parts is next to impossible to find over here.
(Inner joint needs to fit MC gearbox, outer need to fit S2 hub, and driveshafts of right lenght to fit in the middle)
Planning is KEY, that way you dont get nasty surprises and lose moral!
