me either Marko.nothing available for I5 here.from your situation if you just want to upgrade the turbo w/o
messing anything RS2's seems to be your best bet.you could either retain stock 'em for a while and get RS2 em later on.you still use the oil and coolant line, get the used RS2 reps injectors and tons of dedicated s/w is also available for RS2'd.iirc Hank in states could get you a billet wheel for RS2'd as well.

I understand you Pop,but like u know nearest place where i can get a remap with any other turbo (exept the rs2) its 450km in 1 way(the nearest)
Thats why if i go with biger i will go with rs2, and the car is my DD so i need to think how "economical" the car would be
Even the exhaust i need to order from other country since here we dont have even 3'' pipes...So u see how **** up my situation is

    Marko,
on NA cars, the size of the exhaust effects the performance especially low down end power.on Turbo cars, you should get the biggest as much as you can.it didn't require any backpressure since the turbine wheel pushed all the hell out naturally.I have 76mm(3")exhaust on my car once the car still had the automatik box which caused the space limits when fabricated the exhaust under the right CV half shaft.if i could do it again i will try to get 100mm(4") downpipe.as i told you if you want to upgrade the turbo get the one with your desired spool up while gaining the top end as your goal.you won't regret and
end up buying the turbo again.I have 2871 since i had the automatik box.it's the safety factor that i couldn't go any bigger.if i would get again.i would go
something bigger than RS2'd and 2871 since you already paid for the exhaust, downpipe flange, any fabricated hardware, exhaust manifold, oil and coolant lines.this's cost you a fortune when you're going to upgrade again.i would go for something like 30R or equivalences.lower boost but better flow.remember my car is normally for a DD purpose.i don't need a biggest power.I'm not ready to spend the time doing bottom end upgraded yet.Choosing the right turbo with the right driving purpose.

I hope it wont be to loud, but i dont mind to much, people probably toth the same problem would be with 2big exhaust like on n/a engines...Thats why i asked to be 100% sure
    Thanks for help mate

Yeah i toth so We dont have dyno's over here so evrything above rs2 setup is imposible to make decent remap

If i go for biger turbo, that will be only for rs2 turbo,so i sopose the downpipe would fit?
We dont have here road's where u can use the car to max or tracks

That a too big exhaust can loose performance is often said about NA cars, because they kinda need exhaust backpressure for lower rpm torque. On turbo motors it's always the bigger-the better, AFAIK.

But, to be honest- I wouldn't change anything right now. If the budget is too low in the moment I would wait for the right moment.

If you e.g. build or buy a custom downpipe right now, and then, few months later want to upgrade to bigger turbo- downpipe probably won't fit any more.

Buying and installing all that stuff piece for piece over a time mostly does not work-especially, when the whole setup is not really ready and planned in your head. Believe me- I had enough unnecessary costs and stress with that kind of "system", and I believe I'm not alone in here

Interesting questoin which is better exhaust or intercooler upgrade they have differnet effects on the car. I suppose the exhaust will have the biggest noticeable effect on a turbo car but lower IAT's from a good intercooler setup makes for a more timing via the ecu. Tough call ( or do both )
Unfortunately now i can do only 1 of those two, since i need to register the car which will take me around 700e,so i belive the exhaust shud be done 1st?
Just to be 100% sure,i will not lose with 76mm exhaust from turbo to end with 1 silencer and rear muffler? This is making me worry since i dont wanna ruin the power of it since i cant go with biger turbo for now

I do not think that prj's chips rev out turbo to the max (or does he? Jamo, you know him better...)
I suppose only with the chips the motor would have ~260-270 hp, but with good porting and a good exhaust maybe overall up to 280-290, without giving to much stress for turbo, cause motor's efficiency should be better.

IC and exhaust could help both, but not very much- charger is limited.

What was your and your friend's opinion?
No idea on prj mapping, he can speak for himself in this regards originally it was said refining the homefries with s2central.net If the chip is based of that then it's quite good from personal experience.

If it's his own mapping which I suspect it is, I have no knowledge of it and wouldn't cast judgement or comment on it.

Limit is in terms of you are going outside of the turbo's compressor map and basically just generating hotter air rather than being more compressed ( hence why you are limited by the stock intercooler as you need larger to cool it more )
