You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
I have one here with a hairline crack in the housing, so it drops oil. The stat etc inside is fine if the bits are of any use to rebuild yours? You are welcome to it if it helps you and I'm not far from you

I have noticed for a while that the oil temps can get high and then suddenly drop and suspected that the oil stat itself has been sticking. Well just as ADI approaches it appears to have decided to pack in altogether (typical) ,this is frankly a pain in the rear as access to this in the car is nigh on impossble now but I do need a replacement 'working' stat asap as pic below. Assume the 3b/RR/ABY and ADUare all the same......
Defo the stat in the fiter housing above, Came back today quickly opened the bonnet and felt the oil cooler lines and as suspected.... cold. Temps are reaching about 110deg c at present at 70mph, but start using the performance or going to 85, 90 and the temp is upto 120degrees. Fortunately I'm using the Fuchs Pro-S race oil so it can take it but need to get this out and swapped... If anyone has one lying around
PS when working properly the temp rarely goes over 100degrees whatever I'm doing....
