I have the factory manual and can send you photo's of the windscreen installation instructions which give's you the part No of the location wedge's that are essential to get the screen in the correct position.
That would be brilliant, thanks Kit

As your screens been changed I'd pop the sill covers off each side to check for damp under the carpet, the sound insulation soaks it up like a sponge and will disguise a minor leak for a very long time. I know B5Nut was fairly pleased with the installation, he had to give them car for an entire day so perhaps they actually did it correctly for once.
I am pretty sure B5Nut was very diligent on this and checking for leaks after. The Tropical Green car pictured in this thread needs a new screen anyway so this is a pain I am about to endure.

All three of the Coupes I've owned had suffered from that problem to some degree, I never got to the bottom of it. That's a great find and and a nice easy fix. Result!

    Coupe Boot Water Leak Fix

A well known issue on the Audi Coupe, water leaks into the boot often collecting in the 'bucket' on the driver side under the lift up boot trim, beneath the rear light or onto the floor below. Water leaks also corrode the rear light assemblies and the rear light seals are often blamed (and to be fair often part of the cause). Every Coupe I have owned has had the rear lights re-sealed in a variety of not very pleasant to remove ways involving goop and sealant rather than good old Butyl tape. Some have also had the boot seal replaced, probably unnecessarily. All have still leaked. Re-sealing the lights properly helps but usually there is one often unknown or overlooked issue. There are 4 screws holding in the trim piece surrounding the boot latch and above the rear light reflector assembly. These screws are covered with little trim tabs. If you remove these tabs you will usually find evidence of water ingress (rusty screws) and that water finds it way past the screws, down across the rear light pcbs and into the floor of the boot. Removing these screws and replacing them with stainless steel items and sealing them in with Tiger seal (and doing likewise with the trim tabs) will stop water ingress and a dry boot once again. Pictures tell the story. If you would like to purchase some exact fit stainless steel screws and washers please message me and I will put you in touch with the supplier.
